Tom is 30 years old and has mitochondrial disease (mito), not that he’ll let that stop him! Tom was four when he was diagnosed and doctors didn’t think he’d reach his tenth birthday. Tom lost his beloved little sister to mito when she was just six, but somehow he has defied the odds and each time his family have feared the worst, he’s fought back.
