Check In Assistant

You will be the first person our participants see in the morning! So a cheery disposition is a must! You will be assisting our participants to check in and receive their bib.

Participant Marshal

Directing participants into the correct lines and into the start gate. Making sure the lines are running smoothly.

Checkpoint Assistant

Cheering on our participants through 1 of 6 checkpoints ensuring they are watered and fed with fruit and water provided by the Mito Foundation. Providing encouragement and support to participants!

Woo Crew

Woo!!! This is for the cheerful, outgoing and super bloody friendly volunteer who can stay on their feet all day cheering our participants through the finish line, giving out water, fruit and encouragement.

Fundraising Rewards Distribution

Congratulating participants on completing the walk and handing out t-shirts, books and backpacks at the finish line to participants who have reached the set fundraising targets.

Enthusiasm has no age restriction and neither do we! Our younger volunteers (under 16) must be accompanied by a volunteer who is over the age of 18 and who takes responsibility for them during at the event.

Yes! Please let us know and we will try to accommodate all members of your group at the same location with the same role. We allocate roles and locations fairly early, so occasionally spots may be already full, but if this is the case we’ll always try to find a solution that works for everyone.

When you fill out the form you will choose your first and second preferences’ closer to the event date our event team will contact you to confirm which position you have been allocated too. We will try as much as possible to give you your first preference.

One of our friendly team will be in touch once your form has been received.

We will email your Event Day Brief one week before the event. The package will contain important event day details, including:

• Event Day Brief (including: start time, location, role, who to report to and how to get there)
• Volunteer Operations Guide (information about the event, your role and team)
• Location map (showing where you need to be on the event day)

Yes! We’ll brief you on event day and give you the opportunity to ask questions, so you understand your role and what The Bloody Long Walk is all about!
